The Office of the Cherokee County Attorney is the chief criminal prosecuting authority for Cherokee County, Kansas. Our office reviews law enforcement investigations, files charges where warranted, prosecutes adult and juvenile offenders, and supports the rights of crime victims throughout the criminal process. We are committed to seeking justice fairly, faithfully applying the laws of Kansas, and serving every resident of Cherokee County with integrity.

About the Office

Kurt Benecke serves as the Cherokee County Attorney, supported by Assistant County Attorneys Addison Tucker and Ethan Manke. Together they prosecute criminal matters arising from law enforcement investigations across Cherokee County, including from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and city police departments throughout the county.
